About Us

No gimmicks or slick presentations here. We are real people, with real struggles and sins. But we have a real Savior who has made us his sons and daughters by his grace, through the work of Christ on the cross!

The Church at Meadowlake exists to treasure God in all aspects of life (this means that we exist for his glory – He alone is the soul-satisfying, supreme and glorious One), for the joy of all people (this means that he has sent his church to proclaim the good news that makes us eternally glad in God), through Jesus Christ (because the only way to God is through Jesus Christ and his finished work for us on the cross). This simple mission statement shows that we, as a local church family, are all about God’s glory and the gospel of Jesus Christ. We stumble and fall in our pursuit of this mission, but by God’s grace, this is our aim.

Our 3 priorities:

  1. Worship (Upward). We desire to be a God-focused people: a people of praise, who are living in an awareness of his presence, doing all for his glory, and seeking to demonstrate with our lives a satisfaction in God. We are a people who gather to celebrate God’s glory and praise, and who seek to proclaim his supremacy in all things and his truth through the gospel. We look upward in worship as we sing songs together, hear God’s word read, prayed, and preached, and follow Jesus in the way we live.
  2. Community (Inward). We also strive to be a people who are looking inward, building a family of disciples who are loving one another, enjoying God together in fellowship, and growing together into the image of Christ. As we live out the faith together, we want to be maturing in godliness and understanding of the truth, increasing in the fruit of the Spirit, serving one another in humility, and functioning in the gifts of the Spirit – each believer engaging in ministry and service.
  3. Mission (Outward). Finally, we want to have an outward gaze as well, as we seek to prioritize the making of disciples, both local and foreign, by proclaiming the gospel and glorifying God through the visible light of good deeds. We are asking God to send us out as he wills and leads us, and we are participating in the mission with gospel partners he sends our way.

“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6 ESV)

We encourage you to turn from sin and come to God through Jesus Christ, crucified and raised! Come embrace the One who is the great and priceless Treasure!
