Jesus’ church is the guardian of the gospel, the pillar and buttress of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15).
Jesus told his disciples:
If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32 (ESV)
The church is called to “contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). Truth is important!
