Fame and Success

Cary Cox, from Mark 1:28-39. Jesus has a full day of ministry, and stays up late showing compassion and power to the whole town! He gets up early to pray, and has a time of testing. The crowds are calling, but Jesus is not after fame and worldly success. He is after obedience to the Father! True success is faithfulness to the will of God.

Jesus begins his ministry in Galilee, which is described by Matthew as the dawning of a great light to those who are in darkness. We see Jesus calling people to follow him as disciples. We see him healing the sick and casting out demons and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom!
